Real Life

Just this month, Miller has stuffed his superman cape down the toilet hole. He has bitten into, then threw up bc it was so nasty, on a fish oil supplement. He proceeded to overdose on dinosaur vitamins, but luckily I caught him in action. He has broken Maggie's princess tiara, ripped her dress up cinderella dress, etc. etc. He is a HANDFUL! Just the other day while he was napping, Maggie colored the prettiest picture for her teacher at school. She was SO proud and it took her quite a long time. Well wouldn't you know, as soon as tasmanian devil woke up from his nap he ripped it into shreds when we weren't looking.

These two are still buddies though. Big Buddies. They walk into school each day holding hands, and I never tell them to.

And sweet Russ is still sweet. I cannot believe he is 4 months old already! Chunky Monkey weighed in at 16 lbs and was 27 inches long! He was 95th percentile in height. Going to be tall like his daddy! He is cooing and laughing and doing all kinds of fun things. He loves tummy time and has started rolling over.

This is what my Target trips look like now. I need medication.

This is Miller refusing to smile.

Sweet Russ turned 3 months old.

Cousin Clark got baptized!

Brian and I managed to have a night out to Zeus!! SO FUN!

Brian caught his first redfish and it was the biggest one of the day!

This is Maggie and Russ at 3 months exactly. Don't they look so much alike?

All about Russ...

My pregnancy with Russ was definitely the hardest on me. I don't know if it was because I felt so bad or if it was because it was exhausting taking care of 2 small people while pregnant. Anywhoo...my 9 lb. 2 oz. baby had no where to go in my stomach and I seriously thought my skin was going to POP at any minute.  See exhibit A!!

Getting ready to go into surgery bright and early! It was a scheduled c-section at 39 wks.

He's here!! Healthy and perfect. 9 lbs. 2 oz. 22 inches long. And the sweetest little thing I've ever met.

The first few weeks home were crazy. Thank GOD for my sweet husband who never fails to help out around the house. He kind of took over with Maggie and Miller for a little while, so i could spend lots of time nursing, changing diapers, and mainly doing this!!

It was love at first sight for Maggie!!  She wants to hold him ALL the time and gives him kisses every second! She is my BIG HELPER. She retrieves burp cloths, diapers, pacis, mylicon, you name it! I couldn't be doing this without her!

Miller on the other hand, didn't pay Russ any attention for 5 full weeks. He didn't act out at all, but he just kind of ignored Russ like he wasn't even there. Finally, after 5 weeks, he asked to hold Baby Russ and it was over from there. I think he realized this little guy was here to stay and he finally embraced it. Now he is so adorable and loves on Russ all the time.

"HELP" screams Russ.

Russ looks just like Maggie did as a baby. And they look like twins here.

Getting too big too fast.

2 month stats: 12 lbs. (60th percentile), 23 7/8 inches (75th percentile), and can't remember head but it was big (95th percentile). Long and lean like his daddy.

Russ is the perfect addition to our family. He is cooing and talking and smiling all the time. He is SO good and I could just snuggle with him all day long. He has rolled over 3 times now and is getting really good at tummy time and holding his head up!

And it's almost time for our 3 month picture. Where does the time go?

Birthday Celebration

I turned the big 32 on Tuesday. I feel old...like real old. But so young at the same time. And I feel like the best part of my life is just beginning, which is very exciting.

Honey's birthday is just a few days before mine, so we celebrated at my moms house together.

Sweet Russ was being just that...sweet.

Honey brought Maggie dollar store tiara's and she was kind enough to share with the gentlemen.

Even Pop got one!

This is Clark, my sister's new baby! We had baby's 12 days a part. Clark is older. Isn't he the cutest little thing?!!

Miller gives the best lovin possible.

Brian took Maggie to pick out my birthday present. He tried to convince her to do earrings, but she was dead set on this necklace!! So of course I wore it on my birthday date with Brian! She was so excited!! I love it Maggie!!

Happy Birthday to me!

Iced In

It snowed! I mean iced. It was like mother nature was trying to put me through some kind of serious test. How many days can one go cooped up with 3 kids and a dog before going insane? You win mother nature...you win! Now someone better get me out of this house...and quick!

The ice started coming down around Tuesday and Brian got off work at noon. The kids played outside for a bit. They were fascinated with the "snow" and tried to make snowballs, etc. It was too cold and really slippery and they didn't last long, but it was a valiant effort. Wednesday it was icing/sleeting really hard, and was freezing outside!! Brian got a laundry basket and took the kids sledding for a little while. Miller has a terrible cold and just looked miserable the whole time.

The anticipation was the killer! Maggie could hardly sleep the night before. And they both ran to the door that morning to look out and wait on it to arrive. Sort of like Santa Claus on Christmas morning or your friends arriving to your birthday party. They jumped and cheered when it started coming down!

Now, tomorrow is Friday. I haven't left the house since Monday. I may start talking to the walls soon.

I'm baaaaaaack...

OK. So the thing that stresses me out about blogging is the time lapse between each blog. I feel the need to update every single thing I missed and let's be honest...aint nobody got time fo dat.

So...here's my update. Maggie turned 4. We had a butterfly birthday party at Kamper Park. Brian and I celebrated our 6 year wedding anniversary. We had a baby. Thanksgiving came. Miller turned 2. We had a small family party. Christmas came. New Years Came. The end. WHEW. Now I feel better.

Now...about that baby.

Russell (named after my Dad) Mangum Moore was born on November 25, weighing 9 lbs 2 oz. He was 22 inches long! Big boy!! He is pure sweetness. We had a wonderful experience, and I was out of the hospital in 2 days!

He looks JUST like Maggie. Kind of like Miller, but JUST like Maggie. He is an angel baby. I really didn't know babies could be this good, but they can. He is just the sweetest little thing.  I think God knew just what we needed! He fits perfectly into our family and we honestly don't remember what it was like without him. Maggie and Miller have been absolutely great with him. Honestly, it's been waaaay easier around here than I was expecting. For me, the transition from two to three kids was way easier than going from one to two.

Blessed is an understatement. My heart swells every day with joy. I'm loving the life I've been given, and thankful for my 3 precious gifts from God!
