Rainy Saturday Morning Thoughts

It's Saturday morning and Brian just made me an awesome breakfast. Eggs, biscuits, sausage, & fruit. Great job B!! He takes such good care of me. I am supposed to start studying right about now, but blogging is so much more fun. I figure I need to blog all I can because after October, the blogs may be few and far between.

I can't quit thinking about our little girl Moore, and how we can't wait to meet her. Will she be tall like Brian and have brown hair, but my facial features? Will she have Brian's facial features but my blonde hair? Or...will she look just like her mamma?! Will she be bossy and opinionated like her mamma? Or laid back and quiet like her Dad? I can't wait to find out. I just hope she gets Brian's metabolism. That's all I'm hoping for, and the rest will be perfect!! I was thinking this morning how glad I am that Brian and I moved back to Hattiesburg, and that we get to be around our family and friends to share our many blessings.  I was also thinking how great it is to raise a girl in the South to be a Southern Belle!

New Car!!

Finally got the Murano! Its been at the dealership all week, but they were slow getting some things done. SO...I have been patiently and politely waiting:) ha! But we got to pick it up today and we love it! 2 things I am so pumped about. #1- Bose Sterio System. I have never had Bose before and it sounds SOOO good!  #2- It tells me how many miles until I am empty on gas. OMG! Do you know what a lifesaver that is. I have never had that before either. As many of you know, I absolutely positively despise pumping gas. I wait until the very last possible mile to do it, which has left me stranded lots of times with no gas station in site. Needless to say, I have run out of gas numerous times and this handy little feature will save me lots of trouble! Other than that, its really pretty and has everything I wanted inside. Sunroof, leather, etc. Here are some pics!

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!

Well we have a princess on our hands! A little girl, my little mini me!! I can't wait!! Poor Brian, he is in for a treat!! I already apologized to him for the money I'm about to spend!! As if I needed another reason to shop, little girl clothes are the cutest!!!!!  We really did think it was going to be a boy, therefore, we don't have many girl names picked out. Time to start thinking about that, about nursery colors, bedding, everything! OH...I CAN'T WAIT!!!

We had so much fun last night at dinner. My mom cooked a great meal. We brought in pink cupcakes and  had everyone open their individual cupcake before dinner. It was a lot of fun! Everyone was so excited, as are we!!!

Can't you tell my Dad is partial to little girls? :)

First Week back to Work

Well I started work yesterday. Here is my work station for this week. I swear I could be a cardiologist now! I know all about the cardiovascular system, heart attacks, stroke, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, obesity, congestive heart failure, and cardiovascular disease! WHEW!!! I have so much information to learn but the good news is...it is very interesting to me. This is one of my favorite parts of my job. Learning about the amazing human body and the different disease states.  I leave for New York next week for training and I only have to go for 2 weeks!! WOO HOO!

As for me...I have still been really sick. I just can't seem to shake this nausea and exhaustion! Its been hard for me to study and focus. I think I have pregnancy ADD! Is there such a thing? But I can't concentrate like I used to be able to, and I get easily distracted now. Oh well...I'm doing the best I can! The doc did give me the bomb medicine. Its the same medicine they give to chemo patients for their nausea. So that has been VERY helpful! Tomorrow is the big day!! Just Brian and I are going to the doctor, but afterwards we are going to my parents house for dinner. My mom has invited the whole family over for dinner, including Brian's mom. We had Amanda make some cupcakes and we will put blue or pink sprinkles on them tomorrow night after we find out, and bring them with us to dinner and surprise everyone!!  I still think its a boy, but since I have been saying it out loud, I bet it will be a girl. Which I am totally happy either way!!!

Happy Bday Brian!

Well yesterday was Brian's bday. The big 26th! Gosh he is young!! We had a great day! Went and picked out a car in the morning. Yes, I know. I get a new car on Brian's bday! Poor Brian! I ended up picking out a pearl white Nissan Murano. I LOVE it!! We are going to pick it up today so I will post pics later! We went to eat last night at Chesterfields. It was pretty good. Its just not what it used to be 10 years ago. Here is Brian opening up his new present. His Costas! He has been wanting some for awhile now. Now he doesn't have to squint anymore!

And here is me at 17 weeks! I need a tshirt to wear that says, "I'm not fat, just pregnant!" I'm still at that awkward stage. But not for long!

Long dresses are my new best friend! They don't have to be maternity but they fit my cow like figure right now!

Funny how things can change

So Craigslist is my new favorite thing. It is tha bomb.com!!  Brian and I have been wanting to change out all of our kitchen appliances to stainless steel. We had white appliances before, except for our refrigerator. It was already stainless. So I decided to put them on Craigslist, just for fun, and see if I could sell any of them. Welllllll...within 24 hours all of them were sold and a very nice guy from Poplarville came to our house and picked all of them up. It was the easiest process I have ever been through! So within 24 hours, we went and picked out all new stainless steel appliances, and just like that...we have an updated kitchen!! YAY!!  Now, Brian thinks we should upgrade out pots and pans to stainless steel to match everything. For those that do not know....I have the breastcancer pink collection of pots and pans. Maybe that's why he refuses to cook on them!

As for me and Baby Moore, we are doing good. Still pretty nauseated but the doctor wrote me a prescription for some awesome medicine that makes me feel SO much better. Now I am still getting sick almost every morning, but this medicine helps me through the rest of the day. I am really dreading going back to work next week. Its always hard to start a new job, but to start one 4 months pregnant and haven't worked in the past 4 months. Now that will make it even harder! I have to leave Brian for 3 weeks to go to training in New York, and I am really sad about that. We are going to check on plane tickets for him to come visit. The training days are 7am to 6pm everyday, plus mandatory dinner activities at night with no free time! Sounds like a blast, huh? Wish me luck! I will keep you updated on everything. Doctor apt is still next Wednesday to find out the sex. We have narrowed it down to about 10 girl names and 10 boy names, so at least thats a start. It won't be an "IT" much longer!!

Happy Mothers Day!!

So along with pregnancy, comes emotional roller coasters that I had no idea existed! One thing that I have grown accustomed to is my daily cry. Just about anything will spark it: a song on the radio, reading my pregnancy books, reading my Karen Kingsbury books, if someone looks at me wrong. ANYTHING!!! Brian has gotten very used to my daily cry. It comes out of no where and usually last about 5 minutes and then I'm done! Well today my cry happened in the car listening to KLove. People were calling in about stories of how they lost their mother, and how hard it was for them on Mothers Day. I started thinking about how fortunate I am to have such a wonderful, loving, Christian role model of a mother still here and living only 5 minutes from me! And how these days are so precious, with family, with friends, with all of our loved ones. Because at any minute they can be taken from us. And then I started to think about the day we finally get to see the loved ones that are already in heaven. I absolutely positively cannot wait to see my two grandfathers again!! They were such amazing men and it makes me so sad that Brian never got to meet either of them. And I miss my friend Kelley every single day. She was my rock, and always knew how to put a positive spin on whatever life changes were going on that year. She was an incredible friend. I can't wait for Brian to meet her either!  I just wanted to say today to all you mothers out there, HAPPY MOTHERS DAY! Enjoy this day, soak it in, and remember every second of it! Take lots of pictures, write it down, or blog it! Whatever, just take the time to enjoy every precious moment that you have with your mother, with your kids, with your loved ones! And I have to say...as I got sad today in the car, I started thinking about all of my friends that are mommies now. Some this is their first mothers day, some maybe second. Others, like me...are mommies to a baby to be! But I started thinking about how proud I was of all of my friends, and all of our lives now. Looking back on some of the things we did in 9th grade, I am surprised we turned out alright! ha! But seriously, I am SO lucky to be surrounded by such wonderful women in my life. Ones who love their God, honor their husband, and cherish their family and friends. I wouldn't trade any second of my life for anything! I LOVE YOU ALL!

Provers 6:20-22 My son, keep your father's commandment, and forsake not your mother's teaching. Bind them on your heart always, tie them around your neck. When you walk, they will lead you, when you lie down, they will watch over you, and when you awake, they will talk with you.

MAY 20th!!!

MAY 20th!!!
This is the day we find out the million dollar question!! Girl or Boy??!! No more stupid home gender tests for me. The doc is going to do the test a little early so we can know the sex before I leave for training for my new job. SO EXCITED!! Still haven't decided how we are going to find out, and who all we will bring with us to the ultrasound. One thing is for sure though, we really need to start thinking about names. I am going to make a top 10 list tonight!

This is what my little avocado is going through this week...I copied this from my babycenter weekly emails.

Week 16
Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, he's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his scalp has begun, though his locks aren't recognizable yet. He's even started growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, his heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop.

A dog in heat

I swear I have the nose of a dog in heat now! Everything has a smell. Most things not so nice. I cannot believe how grossed out I get at the certain smells of things. I went to a crawfish boil yesterday. Brian and I had a blast by the way. Brian ate crawfish for about 4 hours straight. Thanks Heather again for the fun times! However...I have been to a million crawfish boils in my lifetime and the smell of crawfish hasn't bothered me...until yesterday and my preggo nose started smelling them. Yuck! I couldn't get near them. I def didn't eat any of them. And then today after church we went to Lenny's. Love Lenny's. I wanted to throw up when we walked in the place smelled so bad. It is the strangest thing. Now I do enjoy this dog sense of smell when I smell some things, like fresh cut grass, my lemon candles, or my new bath products. The smell is nicely multiplied! Which by the way...I am a huge bath junkie. If you ever take a shower in my bathroom, you will have your choice of about 10 different bath products. But I have a new favorite. Dial bodywash, the new cranberry scent. It is so awesome!!! Thanks Target for displaying it in the middle isle!

Ok, enough about my dog nose.  I have been feeling ok. I actually got sick 3 times this week.  I thought once you got to the 2nd trimester it was smooth sailing for a few months, but it doesn't look that way for me. I go to the doctor tomorrow, and I am going to ask what in the world I can take for my allergies and for my nausea. I have been much more nauseated lately. I don't know if its from the stopped up nose or the pregnancy, or both!

I go to the doc tomorrow for my 16th week visit. She will schedule my ultrasound to find out the sex!! I will give you a date as soon as I know! I am hoping to talk her into doing the ultrasound around 18 weeks because I am leaving for training with my new job for 3 weeks and will be out of town from my 19th week to my 21st. Brian and I decided today we really need to start thinking about names. At least have a top 10 list or something. That way when we find out the sex, we won't have to call it an it any longer!!

Speaking of gender...DO NOT go get that dumb gender test. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to read in my life. Brian and I both couldn't figure it out. We took it on Friday, and the results were so unclear. I won't go into detail how the test works, but lets just say we are 50% sure its a boy and 50% sure its a girl!!

Off to watch Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters. Sunday night TV is my fave!!
