So along with pregnancy, comes emotional roller coasters that I had no idea existed! One thing that I have grown accustomed to is my daily cry. Just about anything will spark it: a song on the radio, reading my pregnancy books, reading my Karen
Kingsbury books, if someone looks at me wrong. ANYTHING!!! Brian has gotten very used to my daily cry. It comes out of no where and usually last about 5 minutes and then I'm done! Well today my cry happened in the car listening to
KLove. People were calling in about stories of how they lost their mother, and how hard it was for them on Mothers Day. I started thinking about how fortunate I am to have such a wonderful, loving, Christian role model of a mother still here and living only 5 minutes from me! And how these days are so precious, with family, with friends, with all of our loved ones. Because at any minute they can be taken from us. And then I started to think about the day we finally get to see the loved ones that are already in heaven. I absolutely positively cannot wait to see my two grandfathers again!! They were such amazing men and it makes me so sad that Brian never got to meet either of them. And I miss my friend Kelley every single day. She was my rock, and always knew how to put a positive spin on whatever life changes were going on that year. She was an incredible friend. I can't wait for Brian to meet her either! I just wanted to say today to all you mothers out there, HAPPY MOTHERS DAY! Enjoy this day, soak it in, and remember every second of it! Take lots of pictures, write it down, or blog it! Whatever, just take the time to enjoy every precious moment that you have with your mother, with your kids, with your loved ones! And I have to say...as I got sad today in the car, I started thinking about all of my friends that are mommies now. Some this is their first mothers day, some maybe second. Others, like me...are mommies to a baby to be! But I started thinking about how proud I was of all of my friends, and all of our lives now. Looking back on some of the things we did in 9
th grade, I am surprised we turned out alright! ha! But seriously, I am SO lucky to be surrounded by such wonderful women in my life. Ones who love their God, honor their husband, and cherish their family and friends. I wouldn't trade any second of my life for anything! I LOVE YOU ALL!
Provers 6:20-22 My son, keep your father's commandment, and forsake not your mother's teaching. Bind them on your heart always, tie them around your neck. When you walk, they will lead you, when you lie down, they will watch over you, and when you awake, they will talk with you.
