All About Miller

How far along? 25 weeks

Maternity clothes? UGH...I want to burn them after this pregnancy!

Sleep? Sometimes I sleep, sometimes I don't. I usually go to bed easily, around 9:30, then wake up from 2-4 sometime and can't go back to sleep. Then finally go back to sleep around 4ish and can hardly wake up in the mornings.

Morning Sickness: You mean All Day Sickness?? I have been just as sick this pregnancy as I was with Maggie. OH well, par for the course. It's all worth it!!!
Movement? All the time! Especially active at night!

Food cravings? Mexican, nuts(walnuts and pecans), and sweet tea!!

Gender? It's a boy!! Miller Brian Moore(same initials as his daddy),Marcus Brian Moore

Labor signs? Let's hope not anytime soon!

Working: Yes, I am still working. This heat is about to kill me over though. I am planning on working up until the week before Thanksgiving and then I will go on maternity leave.

What I miss: You know what I miss!! BLUE JEANS! Cute clothes in general. My energy level. A clean house. RED WINE.

What I am looking forward to: I am really looking forward to seeing Maggie's face when she meets her little brother. I just think she is going to be the best big sister ever. I am looking forward to having a BOY!! I can't wait. And I am looking forward to NOT being pregnant:)
Oh, and I am really looking forward to the glucose test at my next appointment. NOT

What am I currently working on: Currently working on a dresser for Miller's room. I am having one made to serve as the changing table as well. A lady at my church distresses furniture so I am trying to pick out paint colors for that. Either I am going to do a distressed cream, or a painted gray. I can't decide! The bedding is currently being made too! The bedding is very simple and classic, in robins egg blue and cream colors.

What Maggie thinks: She knows I have a baby in my belly. She touches it constantly and says "baby." She can say Miller's name and it is o so cute! She likes to give him night night kisses, then give him a few really hard love taps.

Ode to My Blue Jeans

About this time of year, for the last 3 years, I get (sort of) depressed. All the beautiful fall clothes come out. I start to think about football games, scarves, blue jeans, and boots!! However, for the last 3 years I have been pregnant through the fall. Yes...I'm throwing myself a little pity party right now but it is true. I haven't worn my blue jeans to a football game in 3 years. You see, I LOVE to shop. I always have. I've always loved clothes, scarves, jewelry, new shoes, all things girly. But it is just NO fun when you are pregnant. Oh how I long to wear my blue jeans and tall boots with a cardigan and scarf sometime soon. In dealing with my self pity, I wrote my blue jeans a little poem.

Ode to My Blue Jeans

Oh Blue Jeans, Oh Blue Jeans, how I long for thee
To fit snugly at first, then stretch as the fabric breaks free
Out of the dryer, tight as a drum drum drummy
Doing all kinds of stretches, to make them fit on my tummy
My comfy ones, my dressy ones, my in betweens
It didn't matter to me, they were all my jeans
My Target ones were some of my fave
I never cared that you were cheaply made
My Gap ones never let me down
And my Joe's were saved for going out on the town
My trouser jeans I could even wear to work
And if I could fit in my skinny jeans, it was always a perk
I had vintage washed, dark washed, gray, and black ones too
You sadly sit in my closet, what's a girl to do?
Oh Blue Jeans, Oh Blue Jeans, how I miss you
We shall meet again soon, it is LONG overdue

Children's Museum

My friend, Amber, and I took our girls to the Children's Museum in Jackson this week. These 2 girls play together, go to school together, and church together. They are 2 peas in a pod and just adorable to watch!

I HIGHLY recommend you go if you have not already been. The girls had a blast, and there is something fun for all age groups! The first thing that caught their eye was the tractor! My dad would be proud!

Driving the tractor...

milking the cow...

playing in the real car...

pumping gas...

climbing through tunnels

looking at the big water table

sharing raincoats with each other

The Fruit Truck...a favorite of theirs for sure. Picking out the perfect fruit for their basket.

She only wanted bananas.

Driving the fruit truck with a banana spill...

She found a tea pot. Her day was complete now!

A tea pot and basket of bananas. All a girl needs:)

Digging for fossils.

Of course they had to dart up the stairs a few times too:)

My little engineer:)

More Cake Please!

This past week has been a fun one! We took Maggie to eat hibatchi again. She LOVES it! Sorry...forgot to get pictures once again. We also decided last Saturday morning to drive down to NOLA to Magazine St. and do some shopping. We left early, and Mags slept the whole way. We shopped our little hearts out(even Brian) and then ate some yummy Mexican, then went to Pottery Barn on the way home. Maggie was a little angel so we will definitely be doing that more often.

Last Sunday was my sweet nephew Jack's baptism. This was our best attempt at getting a picture of them together. Jack's gown was handmade by his grandmother, and was the most gorgeous thing I have ever seen! He looked like a doll baby.

The best part of the day for Maggie was the cake! She noticed it right when we walked in for lunch, and was chomping at the bit to cut it during lunch! When we finally cut it, guess who got the first piece?!!

This gave her a real nice sugar high, so we went outside to run it off!

Getting sleepy...

I heard about this cake so much from Maggie that I decided it would be fun to let her make her own cake. We went to Corner Market and I let her pick out which box of cake she wanted to make. Of course, she wanted the pink kind! Strawberry it was!

I have never seen her so excited...She did everything! Well I measured everything out but she poured it all in and stirred it together. She checked on her cake every 5 minutes while it was baking and would scream, "Mammie's pink cake!" She calls herself Mammie and it is sooo cute:)

Lately she has been on this kick to introduce herself to everything. When we get home from school, she politely says "hey Sadie, I'm Mammie." Sadie is our dog. Then when Brian walks in from work, she says, "Hey Dada, I'm Mammie." She loves her name!! She likes to run around the house as fast as she can yelling, "Go Mammie, Go Mammie. GO GO GO! She has 2 little plastic dolls that she got from McDonalds. She named them Margaret and Vivie Sue. She introduces herself to them several times a day too! Quite the friendly thing these days...

All about Maggie and her crazy Mamma...

Last week we took Maggie to eat Hibatchi for the first time. She LOVED it!! She was fascinated with the Pop Pop(fire) and the rice! Now for an entire week we have heard about the pop pop rice so we are taking her again tonight. I will try to snag some pictures of the look on her face when they light the fire!

We also had a mommy and Maggie day last Friday. Man those are the best days on the planet. When you are a working mom, these are rare and oh so special!! We started the morning off at Cracker Barrel, Mags favorite breakfast spot.

Thank goodness for this little gadget. It kept her entertained the entire time.

She was very excited when they brought her a juice box. She looks like such a big girl here:(

After Cracker Barrel, we went to Toys R Us and some other fun places, then met Daddy for lunch at Chick-Fil-A! Of course Daddy had to buy her an ice cream cone!!

This is what she looked like pulling out of the Chick-Fil-A parking lot. These beads are her new beads she got to pick out at the dollar isle in Target! She wanted pink with peace signs.

Saturday, our cousins drove down from Oxford to play! They brought Maggie her first Dora dress up outfit. It was a HUGE hit!! She wore it the entire day.

Maggie had so much fun playing with them. I think perhaps it may have been the best day of her life...

NOW...on to her crazy pregnant mamma. I have been very forgetful lately. Doing things like forgetting to turn the oven off, boiling water for tea and then forgetting about it. Locking my keys in the car, forgetting where I park, etc. etc. The list goes on and on. HOWEVER, the morning of Cracker Barrel was perhaps my biggest OOPS so far. After we ate, I left the table with Maggie bc she had a dirty diaper. I had all intentions of coming back to get the check from the waitress and paying up front. I went to the bathroom and realized her diaper bag was in the car...of course. SO, we didn't spend much time shopping around and went to the car. I changed her diaper, didn't think twice about the check, and drove off. People, we shopped all morning and it NEVER dawned on me that I was a fugitive on the run until we met Brian for lunch. He asked me how much money I had spent that morning (He's a banker remember). It was at that very moment I realized I never paid at Cracker Barrel. I.ALMOST.DIED. I had him call up there in a tizzy and told them what happened and that we would come by and pay for our breakfast. WHEW!!! I won't be going on any more outings alone anymore. I'm so used to Brian always being with us and paying. Can you imagine if they would have called the cops on me and I would have gotten arrested with Maggie in the car. OH MY!!!!!!! That would have been the end of Kimberly Roberts Moore bc I would have crawled in a hole somewhere and died...

We went back and paid. They weren't even worried about it. Guess that happens alot???

IS this pregnancy brain? Or having a 2 yr old brain?
