Naaaaaayyyyy

I've been a major slacker lately so I need to catch you up on 2 weekends! Last weekend, we had Ali's baby shower and it was fantastic! We gave her a brunch, which by the way, is my new favorite time to do it! Who doesn't love yummy pastries, breakfast casserole, and cheese grits!

Ali looking fabulous at 30 weeks with the hostesses!!

And little Jack's whole name will be... John Russell Crumpton. Russell is my dad's name:)

Then, Brian and I both had Presidents Day off so we had a play day with Mags! We started off with breakfast at Cracker Barrel. This little girl tore up her pancakes! Then we did some shopping, and she just had to have this little yellow duck...just couldn't live without it.

She is such a good helper these days. Helping Daddy pick up pinecones in the yard. Still would not put the duck down.

Nana came to play with us too!! We went out to my parents farm to pet the horsies!! She was a little nervous at first, but by the end was petting them and yelling NAAAAAYYYY!! We have been studying our barn animal noises lately:)

We ended the day at the playground! This girl just LOVES to swing. Sorry for the blur but I just love her smile in this one!

This weekend we had Heathers baby shower! I have no pictures bc I forgot my camera, but it was fabulous as well!! Today we went on a 6 mile run/walk down Longleaf Trace and it is just absolutely gorgeous outside! This girl wants to be outside at all times, so I know where we will spend most of our time this spring/summer. Time to buy a baby pool!!

Happy Valentines Day!

All ready for her party at school...

Notice anything...its mostly ALL boys

She would not set this chocolate cupcake down for anything!!!!

My sister volunteered to watch Maggie tonight so Brian and I could have a date! We enjoyed ourselves, but were home by 8. Brian is drinking coffee and reading a book while I am blogging and watching Maggie sleep. Maybe we are getting old, but I wouldn't change a single thing!! I just have to say...I am emotional thinking about all the love and joy that runs through our house. God is good all the time and all the time God is good!!

Nightmare on Woodrow Wilson Blvd

Let's just say our appointment did not go so well!! Maggie was terrified of everyone...and with good reason bc no one was very nice to her. The doctor wasn't even able to watch her walk bc every time I would set her down she would cry huge crocodile tears while screaming for me to pick her up. It was SOOO sad. SO after multiple attempts, and 30 minutes of trying, the doctor just felt her little feet and legs while she sat in my lap terrified. He said she is slightly bow legged, and 99% of the time it corrects itself as the bones grow taller. SO...no special shoes or leg braces! Not even a follow up appointment...he was that sure we wouldn't need one!

Who doesn't love a baby right when she wakes up from naptime? All grumpy and messy, but cuddly and sweet. It usually looks like a bird made a nest in her hair! Gosh I love this little girl!!

We spent most of Saturday playing outside! The doctor did tell us that bow legged kids tend to be faster runners and are more athletic. Saturday morning soccer better be ready for Miss Mags!! But for now, Dada is teaching her some softball techniques! She is quite the little athlete I must say.

Today after church we wanted to take Maggie to the zoo. I have been dying to take her lately bc she is so obsessed with animals. The weather was perfect too! We got there and they were undergoing construction...UGH!!! So we settled for the playground instead. The poor girl didn't have any fun:)

Happy Valentines Day Friends!! I'm spending mine with the 2 loves of my life:)

Brrrrrrrrrrr

Mags says, "Brrrrrrr. I'm ready to play outside without having to have 19 layers on!"

Brian and I had a mini get-a-way this weekend and it was fabulous! We both took off work for my birthday on Friday and went down to New Orleans for the night. We did some shopping inside on Friday, since the weather was terrible! But it cleared up by that night and we were able to walk around downtown. We ate dinner at Mr. B's, which came highly recommended by many, and it was FABULOUS! Saturday we bummed around and shopped, ate some really good food yet again, and came home that afternoon! It was a short trip but we had a wonderful time! Maggie was so excited to see us when we got home. I don't want to leave her again anytime soon!

We got her some new outfits at Macy's while we were there, and I wish we had captured her face when we gave them to her. She Ooooooohed and Ahhhhhhhed like they were the most amazing things she had ever seen. HA! They were only Carter's outfits. Hate to think what she would have done if they were something a little nicer:)

She carried them around everywhere...

and inspected them real good...

Tonight, while I was cooking dinner before the superbowl, Brian was outside grilling and I noticed it was rather quiet. I actually thought to myself, "How sweet, Maggie is playing so quietly and letting me cook dinner."

HAHAHA....I am so naive. She had somehow gotten the baking powder off the kitchen table and opened it!!!

Please say a prayer for Maggie this week. We are going to a specialist on Friday to see about her feet. After she started walking, her feet started getting pigeon toed and they have progressively gotten worse. I'm nervous bc I have no idea what they are going to do to her and she HATES doctors anyway. If they have to do X-rays or anything she will have to be put in a straight jacket. All kidding aside, I don't want my baby girl to have to wear braces or anything, but I trust the doctors and know it is best to correct this asap. I just hate the unknown...

Meet Jack!

Jack is the wee little tot to the far right! And that's my sister!! Now Alison, before you get mad of me for putting a picture on here, remember this blog is for Maggie and it needs to be documented!!

Jack is going to grace us with his presence late April, and we absolutely cannot wait!! Maggie is getting her first boy cousin! We don't know what to do with boys around my house. I am one of 3 girls, and my mom is one of 4 girls! So we need a little blue in the family!! Alison is trucking right along through her pregnancy! Hurry up little Jack! You have a bigger and older cousin who is ready to boss you around:)

Speaking of bossing....this girl right here has become quite the BOSS around the Moore house.

She knows what she wants, and when she wants it! Here are some Maggie facts!

-She LOVES to read. Borderline obsessed. We read at least 30 books a day, no lie. If she brings you a book and you do not read it, she throws a fit!
- She is obsessed with ducks! She searches for them in books, on TV, everywhere we go. Anytime she sees a duck she says, "Duck, Wack Wack. "
-She just learned to Moo like a cow and it is quite hilarious! It sounds like a sick cow in labor.
- She is becoming a very picky eater, which is difficult at times.
- She wears a size 4 diaper, and wheres 18-24 month clothes.
- She LOVES shoes, especially slippers. She puts mine on all the time and tries to walk in them.
- Her Docks(Socks) are definitely her favorite item of clothing. She loves to pick them out, and say docks over and over again while she is getting dressed.
- She is still lovin her kitchen, and cooks up some pretty good meals I must say.
-She is finally keeping bows in her hair! yay! The rubberband trick worked!
-She still likes to be rocked to sleep every night and I would not have it any other way! You Babywise moms would kill me! But I wouldn't trade it for anything!
-She is starting to like Yo Gabba Gabba and Fresh Beat Band. Those nerds on Fresh Beat are so dorky but they suck me in every time! I'll admit it!
- She is MS. Independent. She wants to bathe herself, brush her own teeth, feed herself with the spoon, etc. As soon as she discovered she could do things, that baby stuff was over with!
-The smile on her face when I pick her up from school everyday is the absolute BEST part of my day.

Just when I think it can't get any better, it does. I guess I'll be saying that until she turns 13:)

On a side note...I must blog about hair more often! I think that got the most comments so far!
