Waddle like a Duck!

Sorry so long since my last post. I can't seem to find the energy...When I get home from work I just want to go to sleep!! And no recent preggo pics either bc by the time Brian gets home I am already in my pj's and I won't let him take a picture of me then! Who knew growing a child was so exhausting!!!!

We have been up to alot lately! Last weekend we took another trip to Jackson. One of many I am sure. We visited our favorite place, Sweet Dreams, in Madison and bought some things for Maggie's nursery. We also finally decided on some living room furniture and it should be delivered in 3 weeks!! yay! I can't wait! Kelsey is taking all of our old furniture to MSU with her this semester as she is moving into a new apartment!

My parents moved back to Canebrake this week and they have been busy packing, unpacking, cleaning, and unpacking some more! Brian and I have tried to help as much as we could. Their new house is so beautiful! I can't wait for the grandkiddies to grow up playing on the lake!!

I got my baby shower invitation in the mail today! It is the cutest thing I have ever seen! I love it! Chrissy did such a great job! I love invitations. My mom and I toy with the idea of opening up a stationery store here in Hattiesburg one day. We decided to let the economy get better first! That would be my dream occupation I think! I could look at invitations all day long, especially wedding ones. That was so much fun!

I went for my 28 week check up this week. I had my glucose test done for gestational diabetes. Everything was great! My iron and sugar were good. My sugar was supposed to be below 140 and it was 99. Does that mean I'm not eating enough skittles? Well I can fix that problem:) I was convinced I am anemic bc I have been SOOOO tired, but guess thats just all part of it!

Some recent uncomfortables that won't go away!!
lower back pain...so I waddle around like a duck!
swollen feet
heartburn at its best!!!!!!!
ear aches
extreme exhaustion
can't paint my toe nails...heck, cant even cut my toe nails now

On the up side...Maggie will be here in 12 weeks or less!!! We are getting so excited to meet her. I already love her so much...I just can't imagine the happiness we are about to have! We watch her ultrasound video all the time. She is the cutest little thing!! We are getting the 4D ultrasound in 2 weeks, so I will definitely post pictures then!

Switching gears...we hired our 3rd realtor to try and sell our place in Memphis. It has been on the market now for 13 months. We even hired a professional stager to bring furniture in and stage the place. Please pray we get this thing sold! Third times a charm..right?!!!

The Ritz Carlton

So our Labor and Delivery class went great! They showed no videos...thank goodness!! But gave us lots of information and a nice tour of the hospital. Brian learned way more than he wanted to I am sure. I did too...there are some things I would just rather not know until they happen or don't happen. The class was given by a labor and delivery nurse that had been at Forrest General for 15 years. She went over the steps and procedure we will take if I go into labor, water breaks, etc. She also went over the procedure when I check into the hospital of everything I will go through. Then she told us the reasons I would have to get a C-section, and every possible thing that could go wrong with either kind of delivery. That's what I wish she would have left out of the presentation...I know its good to be prepared but I would rather not know every little thing that could go wrong. As if a girl isn't worried enough...now I have more things to worry about. She told me what all to pack in my hospital bag...so I am already starting to round up those items! You know me...PREPARED!! However, my favorite part of the whole night was the family birthplace tour. That's what they are calling the new labor and delivery area. I can't wait to stay there. Everyone was SO nice. We met all of the labor and delivery nurses, saw the 2 different rooms I will be in, the nurseries, etc. It all seemed like a Ritz Carlton compared to other hospitals I have been in so I am excited!! And we loved the girl who did the class...she said we could request her to be our nurse if she is working the day we deliver Maggie!!

All Tuckered Out!

So this past weekend I had a girls trip to Destin with 5 of my closest friends from high school. It was SO much fun! They were wonderful to me and treated me like a queen!! Great food, great friends, a good tan, and some shopping for little Maggie...not much more I could have asked for!!

But guess what I came home to....a newly painted pink nursery that I am absolutely in love with. It's so hard to tell the color in these pictures. I burst into tears when I first saw the nursery! I don't know if I was so happy it was painted, or if it was the emotions of seeing a pink room and the reality of a little girl occupying it in only 13 weeks! But none-the-less, I was SO happy and admit I have the best husband in the world!!!!!!!

And here is Brian all tuckered out after a long weekend of painting:)

I also came home to a new stroller!! My very sweet mother-in-law has gotten us way too many gifts already, but she got us the Graco stroller we registered for and I am SOOOO excited! I love it and love the design on it!! It is the new aluminum ones that are lighter and easier to fold up. Here it is!!

Pregnancy Update: I went to the doc last week for my 26 week apt. Maggie is still breech, but we hope she turns at some point, otherwise a C-section will be done. My doc says I should be able to feel her shift directions in the next few weeks so we will see! She weighs 2 lbs now and is growing like a little weed!! I had to fill out all of my labor and delivery paperwork and go ahead and pay for delivery. That's really when it hit home that she is coming right around the corner!! They wanted all paperwork filled out and complete before the 3rd trimester bc that is when alot of women go into preterm labor. Anywho...I signed the epideral consent form. I told her to bring on the pain meds!!!!!!

Brian and I are going to our first labor and delivery class at the hospital tonight. We will get a tour of the birthing facilities, and the maternity suites. Forrest General just redid this whole wing of the hospital and I have heard it is very nice so I am excited to see it! I just hope they don't make us watch birthing videos. I will either pass out or throw up...I cannot handle it!!! I would rather just be super surprised at what happens when its my turn!!! So wish me luck!

Pink is for girl!!

Hmmmm...too many pinks to choose from??? So we got some samples and tried them on the wall.

Brian hard at work! He is going to paint the nursery next weekend while I am out of town on my girls trip to the beach!

So I guess in this picture they all kind of look the same. We are leaning towards top left. Its the lightest and the dullest. I wanted the lightest pink we could possibly get, and these are what we found!

Here is me and my buddy Sadie helping Daddy...aka...watching and giving moral support!

Irrational/Emotional Thoughts of a Crazy Pregnant Woman

The outside of our house needs to be repainted. No...it just needs to be pressure washed and bleached really good. It is just too dirty to bring a baby home to. (Brian is washing it as I am typing this).

We need to hire a landscaper. I don't have the energy and Brian doesn't have the time right now. We need to replace some old bushes, and plant some pretty flowers, and lay pine straw down in our beds, and get the weeds out!!

We need to replace our carpet in our house. It's just too dirty to bring Maggie home to. Or better yet...we can just get it steam cleaned several times before she arrives.

We need to hurry and paint the nursery. We need to do it this weekend. It needs to have plenty of time to air out the toxins before she arrives.

We need new furniture. Furniture that is baby friendly, with no sharp corners, and dark enough to not show stains!

We need to get the bug man to spray...there can't be any spiders in little Maggie's room!

OK...SERIOUSLY!!!! Someone tell me to breathe!! Are these normal thoughts. I feel crazy!! I had heard that starting your third trimester pregnant women had a severe need to get the house in order and everything done before the baby arrives. But this...my irrational thoughts...this is annoying me so I am sure it is annoying Brian!! These thoughts are totally ridiculous. My house is only 5 yrs old and I am acting like it is 100!!! But I want everything to be absolutely perfect when she arrives. And I know all this stuff we are doing around the house...well we will be so glad we did it! The outside of our house already looks like we just repainted it. It is spotless now!! Now, if I can only convince Brian we definitely need to plant some hydrangeas. :)

Happy Independence Day!!

We had a wonderful 4th! Hope everyone else did as well. Friday I was off work so I layed out at my parents pool all day and relaxed. Little did I realize how sensitive my skin is now. Whoopsie!! I am fried!! And still hurting from it! Brian had to work of course, but I enjoyed a nice quite relaxing day on my raft at the pool. And I enjoyed a blue bubblegum snow cone as well. I think I am the only adult that still gets blue bubblegum, but its my fave. I feel like a 6 yr old when I order it though!

I'm going to take a minute to brag on my wonderful husband. He is a part of the Pinebelt Leadership group, chosen by several businesses around Hattiesburg. They had to plan this big 4th of July event for downtown Hattiesburg, and there was only 6 of them planning the event. It was focused around family, and had all sorts of stuff for the kids to get into to. They also had a laser light show at the end where they flew a guy from California to do it. Anyway...the event was huge success. More than 500 people came, and the Downtown association now says they are going to make the event into a yearly thing!

I feel like I have so much to blog about! So check out my new fake bling!! Living in the good ol bible belt, everyone that notices my pregnant belly seems to immediate look at my ring finger to see if I am married. I promise I have caught several people doing this!! And of course my real rings don't fit anymore, so I upgraded my diamond a couple karats and bought this fake bling! Seems to do the trick!

Brian felt his first kick last night. He was so excited!! He left his hand on my belly all night trying to feel another one! She starts really kicking first thing in the morning, and it last for about an hour after I wake up, but Brian is usually gone by then. She doesn't kick a whole lot at night. Guess she is already sleeping!

So the nursery is coming along nicely! We bought a 5 drawer tall chest and a crib finally. Just waiting on the crib to come in! All of the furniture is white. The bedding is getting made now, and I am having some drapes made as well. I picked up a few paint samples and we will try them on the wall this weekend to see which one to go with, and hopefully paint the nursery soon! Maggie will be here in 15 weeks! Crazy!! We absolutely cannot wait!! I already have a closet full of cute little clothes for her, and I have not bought any of them!
