Gymnast in the Making

This past weekend was Harrison and Hudson's 4th birthday party! Maggie had a blast!

She was a little shy at first so we had to look around and see what all was going on!

Then we tried jumping in the foam pit first. She loved it!!

And did some jumping...

And Sliding...

And more jumping...

And some hanging around...

And some climbing...

This is my best attempt to get a group pic! Aren't they all so cute?!!

And lastly, she thoroughly enjoyed the cake, as she always does!

Today at Target I got Maggie some bath tub crayons. WHY I am just now discovering these, I have no idea! But she LOVED them, to say the least!

Showing me her artwork.

Very proud. She said how pretty it was about 10 times.

TADA!!

Miller's Baby Shower

My sweet sisters and friends hosted a baby shower for Miller this past Saturday. It was a lovely party and I am so thankful to have such wonderful and caring people in my life!! It was perfect. The food was delicious! I have been playing with my new goodies all week and I couldn't be more excited to be having a baby BOY!

Jack...the most perfect baby on the planet...seriously!!

Aghhh....my sweet friends. Every single picture of Melanie looked just like this. I could have posted 10. It's a shame she is never happy!!

Maggie was a great big help opening presents!! She actually did good not thinking every thing was for her. I was proud of her!!

The tissue paper was her favorite part!

Glad to get my pretty baby book!

Alison(her house) and me!

sweet sweet cousins and Aunt Kelli

being silly after the shower. such fun times

my mom and me. gosh i think we look alike. or at least I'm giving myself that compliment. ha!

This baby shower was extra special! For those who have been following my blog since 2009, I got the swine flu before my baby shower with Maggie and we had to cancel it. So after 3 pregnancies in 3 years, this was the first baby shower I wasn't the hostess for and it was quite nice!! I feel blessed beyond measure! Thanks to all who helped make this extra special for me!

Now...I have been working on the nursery quite a bit. Walls are painted light blue! Bedding is on crib! Dresser/Changing Table is in! Waiting on book shelf, drapes, and my hubby to hang things on walls. So blog post coming soon on the nursery reveal:)!!

September Update

OK- All 3 of my fans are going to quit reading my blog bc I haven't blogged in so long! Here is a recap of the first part of September.

We have started coloring in full force. She wants to color Dora and Boots every.single.minute she is home! And in between pictures, she likes to taste test the colors to see which one is the best.

Looks like yellow is winning

She wears this peace sign necklace (from the dollar isle at Target) every day. She even wears it to school.

We have spent a lot of time outside with this gorgeous weather! She loves to do "spins" with Daddy!

And model for Mommy...

Last weekend we took a quick trip to Seaside with the Keene family. Anna Caston and Maggie are such little buddies! The weather was perfect and this was definitely the best time of year to go. The beach and restaurants were not crowded at all!

Having fun while waiting at The Red Bar

Maggie has such a personality these days. She is a little ham and loves to cut up and make me laugh! She has a new obsession with kitty cats and goes around the house meowing all day long. She loves to color, watch Dora, play outside, do crafty projects, help me cook, jump on her bed, tee tee in her princess potty, bath time bubbles, and anything and everything that has to do with Daddy! She has become quite the Daddy's girl lately and he loves it! She is still such a picky eater and I am trying so hard to open her horizons to new foods. Last night I asked her nicely to take a bite of her butterbeans, and she acted like she took a bite, then dumped her spoonful on the floor for Sadie to eat when she thought I wasn't looking. Crazy how mischief comes to these kids at such an early age. She is still my lovey dovey child, and gives hugs and kisses all day long and would rather be sitting in my lap than any other place in the house. I am eating it up these last few months before my hands are tied up with another child!!!

Holy Spaghetti and Meatballs

Ok I don't usually toot my own horn, but I'm tooting it this time! Toot Toot!! This is the best spaghetti and meatballs I have ever made. In the hubby's exact words, "This is the best spaghetti I have ever eaten in my life!" I'll take that compliment any day! For those of you who know me really well, then you know this is my very favorite food. The only downside is this is a time consuming recipe. This is not one to whip up when you get home from work. It was perfect to make on a horribly rainy tropical storm kinda day. However, it is also VERY rewarding. It gives me the warm and fuzzies after spending 2 hours in the kitchen when you display the perfect plate of spaghetti and meatballs to your family. Give it a try! You won't be disappointed!
