A Promotion, Mothers Day, and Babies Galore!

Promotion- I would first like to congratulate my hard working husband for his recent promotion at BancorpSouth. He is now Assistant Vice President!! He has been a commercial lender at the bank for 3 years and I've never heard him complain a day in his life. He deserved this more than anyone and we are all so proud of him!!

Mothers Day- We had a wonderful low key Mothers Day. Went to church as a family then went over to my parents house for lunch. Maggie was soooo sweet and gave me some flowers and a gift certificate for a full body massage!! She must have known I needed one!!

playing on the stairs even though she knows she is not supposed to!!

loves to rock

all the girls...Happy Mothers Day Mom!!! I couldn't be the mom I am today if it wasn't for your steadfast love and devotion to us girls!! I hope I'll be half the mom you are!

And Happy Mothers day to my Mother in Law as well!! She is one amazing woman herself. I am married to the most God fearing, kind hearted, loyal man I know and I contribute most of that to her! She did an amazing job...and yes...I am a little biased.:)

Babies Galore- Is it my age or the season but everyone is pregnant or having babies these days!!! In just the last month, Heather welcomed twin boys! Then the next week my sister welcomed sweet Jack. Then Amanda welcomed beautiful Saylor. Now, this past weekend my long time friend, Mary Clayton, welcomed little Jay into their family! My other friend, Amber, is due this Friday to have her baby!! Goodness that's a lot of sweetness going around!! Is there something in the water?!!

Easter 2011

Mags had a fun filled Easter weekend. Warning: TONS of pictures

Wednesday night Dada was out of town so Mags and I dyed Easter eggs. Or should I say Maggie did, she would NOT let me touch her eggs or help her out at all!!!! This was very hard for me bc I wanted to show her how to do it and help her make "pretty" eggs, but I had to sit back and let her learn on her on. She is Miss Independent for sure!!

Standing guard over her eggs, still would NOT let me touch them!

Thursday was Maggie's Easter Egg Hunt and party at school!!

She did so great! I was worried she wouldn't know what to do, but she caught on immediately and had a basket full of eggs by then end!

Sometimes we need a little help from our friends:)

Chowing down on her party food

Sunday the Easter Bunny stopped by our house. He must have known Mags has been such a good girl!!

As soon as she saw her new piggy book, it was over. She didn't want to see what else the Easter Bunny brought.

Until she saw her new tennis racket, and then it was really over! This girl is athletic!! She knew exactly what to do with the tennis racket and was really quite good. YaYa gave her a soccer ball last week and she kicks it all around the house. I think we will have this girl in sports as soon as she is old enough! I can't wait!

Then we got dressed and waited on everyone to come over for lunch. We went to our church's Saturday night Easter service, which was really nice to relax and enjoy each other Sunday morning. We had everyone over to our house for Easter lunch and an Easter Egg Hunt in the backyard!

The bubbles were a huge hit! Thanks Easter Bunny!

My 2 lovies just LOVE each other so much:)

The Easter Bunny stopped by YaYa and Pops too and brought her a new baby buggy! She loved it and pushed it all around the house, running into my walls several times too!

Very excited about the Velveteen Rabbit

And the hunt begins...

So proud of herself for finding all the eggs!

And how special to have the 2 great grandmothers here too!!

Hope everyone had a blessed Easter! I know ours was!!

John Russell Crumpton

Sweet little Jack Crumpton arrived Friday night at 6:59pm, weighing 7 lbs 7 oz and measuring 21 inches long. He is pure sweetness and perfection. Everyone is doing great! He is home now and getting adjusted just fine!! I must say, I was impressed with Maggie's behavior this weekend. She was a big girl about baby Jack coming into this world. She was very gentle with him, and liked to touch his feet. Mags has been the queen bee in our family for a year and 1/2 now, so she did great sharing YaYa and Pop for the first time!!

We love you Jack!!!

Stay tuned for pictures of Mags big Easter weekend. I only took 280 pictures!!

18 Months

We had Maggie's 18 month check up this week. She is 33 inches long(85th percentile) and 25 lbs(50th percentile). He said she is growing up instead of out, and had a huge growth spurt since her last appointment. She is going to have her daddy's figure I think!

Some things about Maggie that I just have to write down. She is the most lovey dovey child I have ever seen. She wants to be touching me at all times, and sitting in my lap with her cheek pressed against my cheek. She gives a million kisses and hugs a day. She is just so affectionate and I absolutely adore it! NOW...she is also MISS INDEPENDENT though. She will not let me do anything for her anymore. Its quite frustrating sometimes, but I have to laugh because she totally gets it from me! She is busy busy busy. I mean she will not sit down for 2 seconds. She will hardly sit down and watch a TV show. She will hardly stop to eat. Speaking of eating, she has become the pickiest eater alive. Dinner is a struggle every night. She would eat fruit and cheese for every meal if it was up to her.

She is speaking in sentences, but who knows what she is saying. She babbles and every once in a while I'll catch a word I can understand. We are working on counting to 10, and she does pretty good. She cannot remember her 4's or 7's. She knows some of her colors. She still LOVES to read. She is still pretty shy around other people. It takes her a good 30 minutes to an hour to warm up when we go anywhere and then she is fine. I don't mind if she clings to me though:)

Warming up donuts in the oven

Live at 5 downtown. This is a little festival downtown Hattiesburg puts on every Friday night of April and October. There is food and live music and Mags loves it!! She dances and runs around and plays with her friends.

We also took her to Zoo Blues at the Hattiesburg Zoo. The zoo is probably her second favorite place to be, first being anywhere outside!

And last but not least, we got a visit from her cousins. These girls love each other so much and it was so cute to watch them play and interact. I wish they weren't so far away and we could play every weekend!!

STAY TUNED...my sister is having her baby on Friday!! I am so excited I can hardly stand it!!! Will post pictures soon of the very anticipated Jack Crumpton!!

Just Another Day

My due date was this week. It came and passed just like any other day. I didn't say anything to anyone, and no one said anything to me(except 1 good friend and she knows who she is). I have been dreading this day for months. I didn't know how I would react or what kind of emotions it would stir up. I didn't know if I should treat it like any old day or treat it with something a little more special. I had read on the internet that it was a good idea to write a letter to my child, and say all the things I wish I could say to her. But life happens, and before I knew it, the day was over just like any other day. I sort of feel a bit of relief now.

Grief is something crazy. It comes and goes with waves of emotions that I never knew existed. And while I don't write about my other little girl very much, I think about her every second of every day. And I take comfort in knowing she is running and playing on the biggest playground in the world. And no matter how many kids we have here on this earth, we have one more waiting on us in heaven.
