Ballerina Class

This has been one of my busiest weeks in a long time!! It started with a girls trip last weekend to Orange Beach! It was so much FUN!!! There was lots of laughing, laying out, good food, and a super fun boat ride! It was definitely different than the beach trips we took 10 years ago! Much more relaxing and I am 100% ok with that!! I think I was in bed at 9 on Saturday night. I felt rejuvenated and well rested when I returned, which is exactly what I needed!

When I got home, sweet Maggie and Daddy decided to wash my car!

Miller was SO excited to see me. It was the sweetest thing I have ever seen. I haven't left him very much in the last 8 months, so he is definitely a momma's boy!

His new fascination is Sadie.

Big boy is sitting up all by himself now!

When I returned from the beach, I had a kids clothing show at my house for 2 straight days. One of my friends who sews tons of Maggie's clothes asked me to do it, and it was a big success! We had lots of people in and out and the kids loved it! Maggie played the hardest I have seen her play in a long time!! And Miller loved all the other babies!

THEN...the next day Maggie had her first dance class(ballerina class as Maggie calls it)! On the way there, all she wanted to know is if they had a ball pit. I told her it wasn't going to be that kind of fun...but I think she still had fun! I asked her what they did and she said somersaults. Then we asked Anna Caston what they did and she said high kicks. We weren't allowed to stay and watch, which was a bummer, so all we know is they did somersaults and high kicks. Ha!

The next day we had "meet the teachers" at school. She has the sweetest, nicest teachers and she can't wait to start on Monday! She will go 3 days a week.

We ended the week going to Krispy Kreme today since it was our last day of summer. She had never been before and I hope I didn't start something. She asked for more donuts for lunch and dinner. Oops!

8 Months of Miracles

When I think back on that specific second the doctor told Brian and me the bad news about Miller's heart, we were devastated, hopeless, scared and mad. How could this happen to us? What have we done to deserve this?  What are we supposed to do now?

Are you kidding me? Look at this little guy. He is the best thing that's ever happened to us. In addition to Maggie of course! Just the other night Brian and I were talking about what a blessing it is to be this little guy's parents.  There is a purpose to HIS plan always. And now, 8 months later, I wouldn't trade our journey for anything else in the world.  We get to wake up every morning to a miracle, and rock a miracle to bed every night. We get to stare into the face of GOD everyday. We get to experience a JOY and a thankfulness that we never had before.

Miller turns 8 months old today, and I don't even know where the time has gone. He is full of personality now. He is a little firecracker, and likes attention and things his way. He likes to be held, A LOT! He likes to be rocked. He likes Maggie, A LOT! He doesn't like to be put in one thing for longer than about 10 minutes. He prefers changes of scenery often. He loves it when we make high pitch noises and he squeals in return. I often sing "Miller" to the tune of Thriller and he thinks it's hilarious. You should try it. It's quite catchy. :)  I also say, "Miller Miller on the wall, Who's the cutest baby of all?" at least 30 times a day. He thinks I'm pretty funny. Maggie can make him laugh better than anyone else can.  He is starting to sit up a little bit, but falls over pretty quickly. He can definitely get from point a to point b pretty stinking fast! He just rolls and scoots. Speaking of rolls, he is full of them! And he is so ticklish around this little leg rolls. He squeals if you tickle them.  He is wearing a size 24 month, and a size 3 diaper. He weighs 22 lbs and is 28 inches long. He is not sleeping through the night yet(except if he stays at my parents), but he is getting better at sleeping! He doesn't nap much, unless we are in the car. He is more of a 15 min cat napper. He would hate to miss out on anything that might go on while he is asleep. He is a nosy rosy!

I could go on and on. We just love this little boy to pieces. God is good all the time. Always put your trust in him. The blessings he gives in return are out of this world!!!!

Maggie's First Hair Cut

Yesterday I took Maggie to get her first hair cut! We have talked about it for months, and she was very scared and would get mad when I brought it up. She tells me repeatedly that she likes her long hair (even though it was almost down to her bottom)!! So we talked up going to see Ms. Brittany at her hair salon for several days in advance. I promised Chick Fil A and a new toy afterwards if she was a good girl. I brought the Ipad and every snack under the sun. Needless to say, I was the only nervous wreck! Maggie sat in my lap and didn't move. She watched her TV show and never even flinched. When it was over, she was doing ballerina twirls out in the middle for everyone to see! She LOVES it!!

My Advocare Journey

OK- So you've all heard me talk about Advocare but I've never really gone into detail about it. I took Advocare products in college and got down to the smallest size I have ever been! But life happened and I forgot all about Advocare until Lauren Banks Miller blogged about it one day! I ordered a few of my favorite products, and quickly got started! I convinced Brian to do their 24 day challenge with me, along with both of my parents and a few friends as well. Everyone saw amazing results. Brian and I had more energy than we have had in years. I quickly started losing all my baby weight from Miller. And Brian quickly started to see his work outs improving in the gym and his muscles getting bigger! He even ran his first half marathon thanks to Advocare! My dad has lost 30 lbs so far, and my mom has lost 10! The products WORK! But what I didn't know yet is what an amazing opportunity it would be to work for the company.

I was driving home one day from one of Miller's doctors appointments, and I got a call from Lauren. She said, "Kimberly, I know you are staying at home now and you could totally make some extra money selling it." At first I was very skeptical, but after doing my research on the company, I was pretty impressed. First and Foremost, it is a Christian based company with excellent morals and values. Drew Brees is their national spokesperson and most of the Saints Football team take Advocare products! The company has been around for 20 years and has a scientific and medical board that is incredible, so you can be sure you are taking the finest of the finest in nutritional supplements. So my journey selling Advocare began.

This past weekend, I thought I was going to Dallas for basic training. Learning the products, how to make money, etc etc. I.was.wrong. I was going to one of the best, most motivational and uplifting things I have ever been to in my life. This company is so much more than a nutritional company. They are a company that believes in their people, that empowers each person to be the very best that they can be. I heard from some of the best motivational speakers in the country! I left feeling like I could do anything and everything that I set my mind to do. Which I can. And so can you. Did I mention they had a church service on Sunday morning? INCREDIBLE!!

I am hosting an Advocare get together at my house this Tuesday night at 7. If you live in the Hattiesburg area, and are even remotely interested in the products or the extra income, please come hear my good friends Lauren and Nick Miller share their journey and explain the products. It will be quick and painless and you won't feel like you have to buy a thing!! I promise!

I'm not going to start blowing up my personal blog with Advocare stuff, I promise, but this has really been on my heart lately. Ever since I returned from Dallas, I just want to share with the world how they can make money and stay at home with their babies at the same time!! My dream come true is coming true!

Busy As a Bee

The months of June and July were jam packed with things going on. I had baby showers, engagement parties, birthday parties, we added on to our house(another blog to come), summer camp for Mags, doc appointments for Miller, and now a garage sale this weekend!! Whew! It appears as though August is going to be even crazier!! Here are some of the highlights!

He's officially a belly laugher. Always laughing at his big sister!

We tried food for the first time! Squash! He loves food now. He eats baby food 2-3 times a day. If he would get some teeth in, we would try real food! But for now, we are enjoying his toothless little grin.

He loves taking afternoon strolls. If it isn't too hot!!!

He discovered the exersaucer. He loved it at first but now he is kind of over it already!! He prefers to be on the floor able to roll every which way possible!

Maggie started summer camp with her best friend, Anna Caston, in matching dresses of course! :)

Miller getting good at lifting his head up!

Waiting on some FOOD!!!
 Too cool for school.

We've enjoyed several lazy mornings in our jammies with all this rain we've been having!

And enjoyed some 32 Degrees yogurt one HOT afternoon!

Sometimes Miller likes to dress up like his daddy.

He turned 7 months old! He weighs 21 lbs and is 28 inches long!

We had a very fairy princess picnic in our backyard! Only "Baby" was invited!
Which meant we had to paint our nails first!!

Mags last day of summer camp was today. I am going to have to find some things to do to keep these kiddos occupied until fall school starts!

***Bad Mother Confession*** Last week I was so tired. Dog tired. I picked Maggie up from school and both of the kiddos fell asleep in the car on the way home. Now I knew if I tried to carry them in sleeping, for sure ONE of them would wake up! So what does a good mother who needs a nap do???? I pulled into our driveway, put my tahoe in park, and took a 45 min nap in the car with them!!!! I'm sure my neighbors were pretty impressed. Hey...you do what you gotta do. Right??

This past weekend I went to Advocare Success School with Lauren Banks Miller. This weekend was honestly one of the best things I have ever done in my life. With that being said, it deserves a whole blog post to itself! Stay tuned...
