Pink is for girl!!

Hmmmm...too many pinks to choose from??? So we got some samples and tried them on the wall.

Brian hard at work! He is going to paint the nursery next weekend while I am out of town on my girls trip to the beach!

So I guess in this picture they all kind of look the same. We are leaning towards top left. Its the lightest and the dullest. I wanted the lightest pink we could possibly get, and these are what we found!

Here is me and my buddy Sadie helping Daddy...aka...watching and giving moral support!

Irrational/Emotional Thoughts of a Crazy Pregnant Woman

The outside of our house needs to be repainted. No...it just needs to be pressure washed and bleached really good. It is just too dirty to bring a baby home to. (Brian is washing it as I am typing this).

We need to hire a landscaper. I don't have the energy and Brian doesn't have the time right now. We need to replace some old bushes, and plant some pretty flowers, and lay pine straw down in our beds, and get the weeds out!!

We need to replace our carpet in our house. It's just too dirty to bring Maggie home to. Or better yet...we can just get it steam cleaned several times before she arrives.

We need to hurry and paint the nursery. We need to do it this weekend. It needs to have plenty of time to air out the toxins before she arrives.

We need new furniture. Furniture that is baby friendly, with no sharp corners, and dark enough to not show stains!

We need to get the bug man to spray...there can't be any spiders in little Maggie's room!

OK...SERIOUSLY!!!! Someone tell me to breathe!! Are these normal thoughts. I feel crazy!! I had heard that starting your third trimester pregnant women had a severe need to get the house in order and everything done before the baby arrives. But this...my irrational thoughts...this is annoying me so I am sure it is annoying Brian!! These thoughts are totally ridiculous. My house is only 5 yrs old and I am acting like it is 100!!! But I want everything to be absolutely perfect when she arrives. And I know all this stuff we are doing around the house...well we will be so glad we did it! The outside of our house already looks like we just repainted it. It is spotless now!! Now, if I can only convince Brian we definitely need to plant some hydrangeas. :)

Happy Independence Day!!

We had a wonderful 4th! Hope everyone else did as well. Friday I was off work so I layed out at my parents pool all day and relaxed. Little did I realize how sensitive my skin is now. Whoopsie!! I am fried!! And still hurting from it! Brian had to work of course, but I enjoyed a nice quite relaxing day on my raft at the pool. And I enjoyed a blue bubblegum snow cone as well. I think I am the only adult that still gets blue bubblegum, but its my fave. I feel like a 6 yr old when I order it though!

I'm going to take a minute to brag on my wonderful husband. He is a part of the Pinebelt Leadership group, chosen by several businesses around Hattiesburg. They had to plan this big 4th of July event for downtown Hattiesburg, and there was only 6 of them planning the event. It was focused around family, and had all sorts of stuff for the kids to get into to. They also had a laser light show at the end where they flew a guy from California to do it. Anyway...the event was huge success. More than 500 people came, and the Downtown association now says they are going to make the event into a yearly thing!

I feel like I have so much to blog about! So check out my new fake bling!! Living in the good ol bible belt, everyone that notices my pregnant belly seems to immediate look at my ring finger to see if I am married. I promise I have caught several people doing this!! And of course my real rings don't fit anymore, so I upgraded my diamond a couple karats and bought this fake bling! Seems to do the trick!

Brian felt his first kick last night. He was so excited!! He left his hand on my belly all night trying to feel another one! She starts really kicking first thing in the morning, and it last for about an hour after I wake up, but Brian is usually gone by then. She doesn't kick a whole lot at night. Guess she is already sleeping!

So the nursery is coming along nicely! We bought a 5 drawer tall chest and a crib finally. Just waiting on the crib to come in! All of the furniture is white. The bedding is getting made now, and I am having some drapes made as well. I picked up a few paint samples and we will try them on the wall this weekend to see which one to go with, and hopefully paint the nursery soon! Maggie will be here in 15 weeks! Crazy!! We absolutely cannot wait!! I already have a closet full of cute little clothes for her, and I have not bought any of them!

I lied!!

I did it! I know I told you I wouldn't do it in my previous post but I did it! I went shopping and threw up pink! So much for yellows and purples and greens. Everything I want to buy is pink. Her bedding is blue and pink. It is a vintage floral which Brian says looks like grandmothers drapes. Her sheets are pink. The walls are going to be pink! Which by the way...Brian will not have it any other way. He said the only color for a little girls nursery is pink! I bought a scrapbook today...PINK! What color drapes...PINK! I cannot help it! I thought I wasn't crazy about pink but all the little girl pink stuff is just too darn cute! Here is the fabric for her bedding. The floral will be the bumper and the stripe the bed skirt. I am having it made, with satin bows for the ties...pink of course!

Margaret Grace Moore is her name! Margaret and Grace are both family names.  I have written her name a million times in cursive to see what it will look like on a wedding invitation. Ha! Pretty I must say!

I am feeling ok! I am finally off the nausea medicine. It was hard at first but I think my body is used to it now. Couple aches and pains I am not used to. I have been having round ligament pains in my lower stomach and lower back. Doc says it will go away in a few weeks but my ligaments are stretching for Maggie to grow. Lovely...doesn't feel too good. And little footsies are swollen everyday when I get home, but I can usually talk someone into a foot rub! Work is going good though!  My new territory is much smaller and the doctors are very nice! It is just so darn hot out there by about 2 in the afternoon I am hot and sweaty and ready to dive into a swimming pool! Today I actually fell asleep waiting in a doctors office. They had to call my name 3 times before I heard them. Whoops!!  I've had some serious cravings lately. Red meat! I think I may be anemic bc my body is craving meat! Gummy bears are still a craving as well. And lately...soups. Tomato soup in particular.  And lots of water...I could drink several gallons a day! And McDonalds tea...way better than McAlisters!

Here is me starting my 24th week! Maggie is growing fast...but unfortunately so am I!!!!

Maggie Moore

We have a name!! Little Maggie Moore:) I cannot wait to meet her!! We have no idea what her middle name will be, or if her full name will be Margaret of just Maggie. One step at a time! We are doing good to just know Maggie for now!! Margaret is a family name on both sides so we will most likely go with that, but we will see!

Sorry I haven't been blogging to my full potential, but let me tell you...my nausea has taken a turn for the worst and I just have not felt up to doing much of anything!!!! It is all I can do to get up and go to work these days. My morning sickness is much worse. I think I may just be one of those very unlucky girls that keep the sickness throughout the entire pregnancy. Ugh! I am ready for her to be here already!!

We went to Jackson this weekend to look at cribs and nursery furniture. We got up at 6:30 Sat morning, which was a chore for me in the first place. We drove to Jackson and went to every stinking baby store they had there. I think we went to 9. We shopped the entire day and didn't buy one thing!!!! I just can't seem to find a crib that I like. This really shouldn't be that hard! Why am I so picky?! I have got to just pick one so we can get started on this nursery! I feel very behind. I have been looking at fabrics though. I am going to have the bedding made. There are SO many cute fabrics out there!

Here are so me pics of me starting my 23rd week.  I feel very LARGE!! My feet are starting to swell after I work all day, but other than that, no uncomfortable aches or pains yet.  She is still kicking and moving around like crazy!! I really don't think she ever sits still. Brian can't feel her yet, but I have a feeling in the next few weeks he will be able to. She is getting stronger by the minute!

Peace, Love & Happiness!

Like mother like daughter!! We have a little hippy on our hands. I think I need to quit listening to my 60's and 70's rock because little Ms. Moore has become quite the peace loving hippy! We had another ultrasound today. At first we were laughing because her mouth was just a steadily moving, like she was just talking away or something. So we are thinking she is going to have my personality. This was the long and detailed ultrasound where they check everything really good, so we got to watch her for about 15 minutes. My friend is the ultrasound tech, so she flipped it to 4D for us. As soon as she did that, little Ms. Moore looked straight at us and threw up a peace sign. It was the funniest thing ever! My friend said she had definitely never seen that happen before. And if we didn't already know she was going to have my personality, we do now...bc she is the busiest little thing ever! She wouldn't stay still for 2 seconds. They were trying to get pictures of her heart and brain, but she kept squirming. She has been like that during every ultrasound. Its no wonder I'm still getting sick everyday. The little thing won't ever take a nap!!  Ha! Warning to friends and family...we will probably have the hyper kid everyone is scared to invite over to play! Apologies in advance!! We could see really clearly though with the 4D. It was incredible. I am almost positive she has Brian's facial features. Her little profile looks just like his. She had a sharp jaw line with definite cheek structure, which I definitely don't have! And her little nose looked just like Brian's! She weighed 13 oz. and measured 8 inches. They said everything looked great and she was growing just right!

Miss Me??

Sorry it has been so long since my last update. Finally home from New York and I still have a J-O-B!! I passed all 6 of my tests. I can honestly say it was one of the hardest things I have had to do in my lifetime, and I studied the most I have ever had to study for anything. But...moral of the story...I made it through and I still get a paycheck. Woo hoo!

Now its time for names, nursery colors, and registering. Not in any particular order bc I might be most excited about registering! My sweet friends are throwing me a shower in August and I can't wait!!  As far as names go, still nothing yet. We have it narrowed down to 4, and I am about ready to flip a coin. One week I love double names, the next week I love names that start with an "E", the next week I love names that start with an "M", the next week I am back to double names. I mean really...I thought girls were supposed to have their little girls names picked out since they were like 20. Where have I been? Anywho...we will get there.  As far as nursery colors, I really am not sure. I don't want to go crazy with pink, its just not really my favorite. I am thinking yellow and pale purple, or just neutrals with a splash of pink. Really need to start looking though! Its going to be so much fun!!! I've always secretly wanted to be an interior designer, so nows my chance!

Also, we have sold half the furniture in our house on Craigslist. Well half might be another one of my exaggerations, but alot! Some girl is coming today to take our double chair and our ottoman in the living room. I have had it since college so its time to say bye bye! A few weeks ago we sold our coffee and end tables. And we have another girl coming to look at our couch. So...on top of decorating the nursery, I get to pick out new furniture for the living room. yay!

So I haven't taken pics of myself in 4 weeks. Probably because I resemble a blowfish!!! The baby bump really started to grow in the last 3 weeks, but so did my face. Couldn't be because they had gummy bears for us at every single snack break during our 2 week meeting. Who does that to people? Well anyway...I didn't have any cravings before but now I do. Gummy Bears...Lovely! Why can't it be apples or something?

Saved the best news for last...she is kicking!! At first it was flutters but nows its the real deal. I feel her all day long! It is the best feeling in the world!! She did a flip last week and about scared me to death.  I didn't know what was going on. Never fails, when I've had a bad day or stressed from work, she gives me a little kick to say I love you and it makes me all better!!!!!
